Mr Vorster commenced as Chief Executive Officer of BC Iron in May 2016 and was appointed as Managing Director in September 2016. He has more than 25 years' experience with numerous mining houses in technical and commercial management roles covering the total supply chain from mine to market for iron ore, coal and other minerals.
He has most recently been employed as Group Executive Mining at Australian Capital Equity, and other recent roles include Chief Executive Officer of API Management, the company responsible for developing the multi-billion dollar West Pilbara Project; and Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Iron Ore Holdings Ltd.
Mr Vorster is an executive committee member of the Australia China Business Council, a non-executive director of Volt Resources Ltd, and a board member of the RSPCA WA.
Mr Hodge commenced as Chief Financial Officer on 1 February 2017. He has more than 25 years’ experience in senior executive, corporate advisory and equity research roles.
He was most recently engaged in a consulting capacity as Corporate and Commercial Advisor to BC Iron. Prior to joining BC Iron, Mr Hodge was Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for Quickflix limited, an ASX-listed company he co-founded. He has extensive finance, capital markets, corporate advisory and equity research experience having held senior positions in corporate advisory with Poynton and Partners and in equity research with JP Morgan (London) and a major Australian stockbroker.
Mr Hodge has a Bachelor of Commerce (First Class Honours in Accounting and Finance) from University of Western Australia.
Ms Rubini Ventouras commenced as General Counsel and Company Secretary on 1 February 2017. She has extensive legal and commercial experience involving exploration, project construction, HSE legislation, mining operations and marketing throughout Australia, NZ, Asia and Europe.
Most recently, she held a senior role with Newmont Asia Pacific where she was Group Executive Legal Affairs.
She holds a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from Murdoch University. She is admitted to practice law in Western Australia and the High Court of Australia and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Ms Ventouras is a member of the Western Australia Museum Board of Trustees and a committee member of the WA Law Society Committee for Government and In House Lawyers.
Mr Roberts has over 30 years’ experience in large mining operations throughout Australia across a range of commodities. He has Bachelor degrees in Engineering (Mining) and Economics and a Masters of Business.
Mr Roberts has held various senior leadership positions, including General Manager Metals Division for Thiess Australian Mining, General Manager Operations for the Roy Hill Iron Ore Project, General Manager for Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine, Alliance Manager for Thiess Mining at BHP Billiton’s Mt Keith mine and Operations Manager for the Tiwest JV’s Cooljarloo mineral sands mine.
At Christmas Creek, he was directly involved in establishing the mine from virgin ground through to plant commissioning and ramp-up to more than 20 Mtpa.
Mr Roberts is a member of the AusIMM, WA Mining Club (Committee Member) and Australian Institute of Company Directors (Graduate Member).
